Should I play SOUL COVENANT in 2024?

The good

SOUL COVENANT has been praised for its beautiful visuals, impressive voice acting, and gripping story. If you’re a fan of Anime, this game will likely appeal to you greatly. The amount of content available is decent, and the weapons, although lacking in physics and collisions, look and feel cool to use.

The bad

The game’s multiplayer coop mode, particularly on PSVR2, is a bit hit or miss but is gradually being improved. The combat mechanics involve flailing swords without physics or collision, which can detract from the immersion. Perhaps the most significant downside is the pricing; many feel the game is overpriced at its launch price of 40€, suggesting it would be more fairly valued at around 25€.

Verdict

Should you still buy or play SOUL COVENANT in 2024? If you’re an Anime enthusiast and the premise excites you, then go for it, even at its current price. For everyone else, it might be best to wait for a sale to get the most value for your money. 🌟 When the price is right, this game will be a fantastic addition to your VR library!
